Now that i actually have access to the blog i figured that i should contribute with something so here’s my review of The last house on the left remake:

Plot (thank you IMDB) “After kidnapping and brutally assaulting two young women, a gang led by a prison escapee unknowingly finds refuge at a vacation home belonging the parents of one of the victims — a mother and father who devise an increasingly gruesome series of revenge tactics”

You can split this movie into 2 acts, Act 1 is where the torturing and rape happens. Act 2 is where the parents take revange. Act 1 is “so-so”. The rape scene doesen’t feel real at all becuose no one gets naked. Sure, you see Krug’s ass but that’s it. It’s like, why woulden’t theese sick motherfuckers take this girls top off? It just feel’s like “diet last house on the left”.

But as soon as the killers arrive at the house… Holy shit. This part is much, much better than the orginal version. In the original the revange part is really short, in the remake it’s half of the movie. And it is intense as fuck. People getting stabbed, hit in the head, drowned, noses gets broken. It really was (and i use this word way to much) awesome.

I think it’s great that Wes Craven actually makes sure that the remakes of his movies actully turns out to be good. It’s not as good as the hills have eyes remake but it’s defenetly a solid film.

7.5/10

I really liked this remake. I think it's more entertaining than the original (but, am I supposed to find these movies "entertaining" at all?)
