For every movie any critic has ever knocked or hated, there are fans of the movie. Indie films, get so much hate for scripts, bad actors, hokey effects and unrealistic monsters. This movie, I am going to try and be positive, but I could not find one moment of true fun for me in this. I know some movies I have reviewed I overlooked one thing or another, and gave it credit for what it did do right. This movie is about Bigfoot. The beginning of the film, I liked. It felt like those old news reports from the 70′s when everyone said they had a Bigfoot in their woods. As the movie started to go, I noticed that most of the film we were scene jumping a lot. One minute these characters are doing this, next second new characters are doing this and then a third set..I felt like ok, why am I watching this girl at a party with her friends get into a fight, then a kung fu scene with a girl and a sensei and then something else. I felt the movie was trying too hard to be something for everyone and ending up nothing to someone. Of course some of the Bigfoot scenes looked ok. But, alot of them esp. with the red scene were just pathetic. And, the characters and script. There was one scene which involved a guy losing his contact in the middle of the woods and Bigfoot coming towards him, the longest attack scene ever which failed to give us a good scare or at least some blood. One of the actresses out in the woods announces to the group..” I am going to the bathroom naturally”..We all speak like that in the woods. So she goes to the bathroom and stumbles upon some bones. And runs back to camp where she announces this gem…” I am so scared, why wont you guys check it out. there are bones in the woods. I am really scared and I want to leave….tomorrow, I am going to go to bed ” This movie was not my cup of tea, and by the end I was so happy it was over. This makes Bloody Ape look like Titanic. It was not a good experience .And the back-story involving the history of Bigfoot and the ancestors, oh man and it got even worst when they had dialog. The hunting scene which involved Bigfoot, oh man.
