Dark Brain has finally done it! They’ve given us something that many of their fans have been clamoring for, a zombie series we can sink our teeth into. For those people that don’t know, Dark Brain has a very distinct style. They make graphic novels that are violent, graphic, and erotic. Take those elements, throw in the zombie apocalypse, and out comes the new zombie graphic novel, Zeopatra.
Zeopatra begins by throwing you right into a zombie attack located in Phoenix. We see a group of survivors trying to fend off a horde of zombies. The group becomes trapped in a dead end alley, and after some resistance, they are overwhelmed by the mob of undead. Much to the surprise of a woman named Tia, her life has been spared by the ghouls. Not only has Tia been spared, but one zombie named Ziggy has actually chosen to be Tia’s protector, which is a story line that is sure to make Zeopatra stand out from the standard zombie tales. Why has Tia been spared from joining the ranks of the undead? That’s a question many of us are eager to find out as we read this series that is filled with zombie carnage, the fight for survival, and zombies being used to fulfill sexual desires.
Zeopatra is another fun title in the Dark Brain catalog. Everything I’ve read from Dark Brain has been entertaining. All of their titles have quality story lines, nice line art, and effective color palettes and painting. As with their other titles, you can view this comic for free on their website, darkbrain.com, complete with voice narration and sound effects. When you watch Dark Brain web comics, some of the graphic content is censored. If you are like me, and want your comics completely uncensored, you can purchase them through their website or you can become a member to the Dark Brain website.
Becoming a member to the Dark Brain site not only allows you to view the graphic content, but it also helps Dark Brain bring us new and exciting titles, as well as expand on some of the other established titles in their catalog. So, if you’re into graphic novels with explicit content, go to the Dark Brain website and check out what they have to offer. You won’t be disappointed, just like I wasn’t disappointed after reading Zeopatra. On a scale from 1 to 10, I’m going to rate Zeopatra an 8 out of 10. What I read is a very good starting point for what should be a very interesting and entertaining series.

I agree it was an interesting story, but my biggest problem was with the attempted rape scene. It just felt really tacked on in an attempt to be edgy. What kind of person would just want to gleefully rape someone just by watching them have sex? It seems incredibly unprofessional for their occupation, especially since the scientist and pilot didn't care.
