Its Thanksgiving break and five college kids are going home to spend it with family. Thanks to a nosey Collie for pissing on the burial site of a cursed TURKIE! The frolicking five soon find themselves faces-to- face with a pissed on Turkie with ax wielding skills.
Folks, please don’t confuse THANKSKILLING with the THANKSGIVING that ELI ROTH is working on…because you will be sadly mistaken. Nope this is a purely campy horror romp which is totally not a ELI ROTH production. It is super low budget and frankly, it is so horrible…it’s good! I balked at having to view it and couldn’t for the life of me think I would actually enjoy it much less, have ANYTHING positive to say about this movie, but I can!
The acting is not Golden Globe or remotely Oscar worthy but the dialogue, although cheesy, is quite funny. If you are a collector of quotes, like me, this little movie is full of good one liners, like the one above, “You just got stuffed”, “Gobble, Gobble MFker”, “I had an AXcident” and many more. My favorite came from the sheriff after receiving a cup of coffee from his wife, “GDamn Cheryl that coffee tastes like shit! Did you take a dump in it?” Cheryl replied with a wicked little smile, “I sure did…I want a divorce!” Totally did not have anything to do with Turkie, but I thought it was funny. My friend’s favorite was Darren to Turkie, “Looks like I got something you don’t, Turkey!” Turkie, “What’s that Darren…a vagina?”
Instead of tearing this movie apart…it gets a pass, because it is THANKSGIVING and I am in a giving mood and another thing it is SUPPOSED to be bad and campy and it lives up to its reputation. For a fun-time this holiday season…when there is nothing on but re-runs of all those holiday movies that drive you bonkers, throw this little turkey on and sit back and watch the madness unfold. OH and if you are dude or dudette who likes BOOBS and BLOOD…Boobs in first few seconds and lots of blood flows. My favorite scenes are where Turkie really gets inside the character BILLY and the second one, when Turkie goes plucking radioactive on the kids.Thankskilling is being served at…
