Play the above review to hear my thoughts on the movie. As far as the sound and video transfer of the film it is fantastic. I haven’t seen the home 3d version so I can’t comment on that aspect of it.

Special Features
* “Mega-City Masters”: 35 Years of Judge Dredd” featurette – 14:27 – A Brief history of Dredd’s origin from 35 years ago to the present. Really interesting, a great special feature. For someone like me who knows very little of the series, it gave an informative background on the character.
* “Day of Chaos: The Visual Effects of Dredd 3D” featurette – 15:21 – It’s your standard special effects featurette, but if you like the film or that kind of stuff then you should really dig it. The section about the 3D and Slo motion cameras was particularly interesting.
* “Dredd” featurette – 1:53 – Really short promo/trailer. Not really necessary.
* “Dredd’s Gear” featurette – 2:31 – Kinda useless. Feels like filler.
* “The 3rd Dimension” featurette – 2:00 – Another fairly useless short segment. Repeats some of the footage used earlier.
* “Welcome to Peachtrees” featurette – 2:33 – 4th segment in a row that’s short and kinda useless.
* Dredd Motion Comic Prequel – 2:57 – Too short but really cool. Makes me want to see a full length motion comic movie based on this.

To wrap up you have about 33 minutes of cool special features and about 9 minutes of filler. This is not the reason to pick up the film but the movie itself and the terrific transfer are enough for me to recommend this.
